'A' Curries Curry House @ Perai

I used to have Indian food for my meals when I was in university due to the cut throat business of the Chinese food operator in my campus. The Indian Aunty is much more friendlier and the prices of the food is reasonable compared to the Chinese stall of our cafeteria.

Anyway, I've developed a liking for Indian food because of the spices used in the dishes. They are aromatic and I really like the appetizing smell.

I went to a curry house located in Taman Inderawasih for dinner with my aunt. Her friend recommended that place and they have been frequenting that place for lunch lately. The food is not bad. I like the naan bread which is baked using a traditional oven and it goes well with the Tandoori Chicken.

The tapestry like woven decorative items on the ceiling.
The place is air-conditioned.
It can still be stuffy because the door was open and it is better to sit under a fan.

The interior design of the curry house which is based on the traditional Indian decoration.
Interesting. XD

 The garlic naan @ RM4.00

The onion naan @ 4.50
Onions and garlic are well known for their strong smell. However, they are fragrant and delicious when included as an ingredient of the naan bread. The naan is well-baked.
They were not burned except for the base of the naan

 Sizzling Tandoori Chicken @ RM7.50

This is delicious and I like the smell of the spices. XD

Mutton curry (forgotten the name of the dish) @ RM 9.00

Mango  Lassi @ RM 3.50

I like the taste Not very sweet nor sour. But, you need to ask the waiter for more ice as it is more delicious when taken cold. ^^

The food is not bad and the shop is clean. However, the service was kinda slow as they served the dishes first before the naan. By the time the naan was served, the food was already cold. =.=
Hmm...another thing, when the waiter passed me the plate, I saw a small 'flake' of burnt crust on it.  >.>
Nonetheless, the curry house is clean. Just a small flaw I noticed that day.

Food: 7/10 - not bad...quite unique as this was the first time I've been to a curry house in Penang. But, the dishes can be a lil oily for me. The Mango Lassi is worth a try.

Ambiance: 6/10 - just a place for food...as you won't linger there even though the decorations appear to be interesting
