Yoogane @ Myeongdong, Seoul

Out of the blue, I noticed that I almost forgotten something good for a long time from my awesome food discovery in Seoul.

I saw this outlet when I was roaming in and out Myeongdong for food and shopping. So, I decided to go there for a meal one evening, since the menu displayed outside the shop looks so temping!

 Yoogane's Marinated Chicken Galbi @ 8,000 won

There are chicken, cabbage, rice cakes and leek
in this dish.(might have some ingredients that
I can't remember)It is marinated using red chili
paste and sautéed in a hot pan.

Additional side dishes can be ordered to satisfied
 your taste buds,

And if i do remember correctly, 8000 won is
for per person, and if 2 person were to dine in, you
have to order 2 of the same dishfrom the menu.
 ( as in 2 chicken galbi for us, 8,000 won x 2)

A bowl of cold appetiser  (no idea what was that)
and preservedradish was served as well.

The waiter used a big metal ring to cover the pan
to prevent too much smoke from coming out.
I need to remove my coat and I smelled like
galbi after the satisfying meal. XD

The chicken galbi, almost ready and the
aroma is temping.
Tastes spicy, but delicious. X3
(beware, it can be extremely spicy for those
who can't handle chicken curry or other spicy food)

The neat dining area of the outlet.
Kinda like the simple design, with the bricks
and wooden partition and all.

 Here's the menu.
English is used in the menu as well.
However, the waiters and waitresses can't speak
English. Thus, communication breakdown between
us happened and I missed ordering the white rice
to tryout the galbi fried rice. Ahhhh..the horror. rofl

The bright sign board and distinguished logo
of Yoogane. It is impossible for you to miss it!

Food: 7/10 (not bad, kinda spicy though...gonna have it again if I were to go there)

Ambiance: 7/10(simple and comfy)

  3. hi eagertravelercris,

well, for korean food, you can eat out as there are food which serves for one person, such as bibimbap, porridge etc. You can refer to the menu as they are multilingual. :)

For yoogane, I am not really sure about that. Maybe they do serve the food for 1 person. Perhaps referring to other blog entries help as well.

Hope that you'll have a good trip. ^^
