Fujiko F Fujio Museum (a.k.a Doraemon Museum) @ Tokyo, Japan

On my first day in Tokyo, we went to the Fujiko F Fujio (藤子不二雄) Museum!

It was an interesting visit, with all the exhibits, artwork, food and statues of the characters.
Plus, I am thankful that my buddy managed to buy the tickets for us at Lawson (a convenient store where you can purchase entrance tickets for museums, Disneyland, etc)

We walked to the museum on a hot summer’s day and it took us half an hour to walk from Shakugawara station to the museum.

There are tons of adorable signs along the way.
Plus, there’s a huge map beside a convenient store,
if I remember it precisely.

The signs to show you the way to the museum.
Don’t worry, you won’t get lost.

Along the way, you'll see a scenic river with shady trees, houses and shops.
It makes you feel as if you are living in an anime.

Tada! The museum!
We were so happy when we saw it.
Walking under the hot hot sun can be torturing.

One of the exhibition windows outside the museum.
They are mostly Doraemon figures or souvenirs.
You can take a good look at them while queueing at the entrance.

After entering the museum, you will be given a small gadget which can be used to listen to the history and explanation of the exhibits inside the museum. We opt for the English version.

You can store your belongings in the lockers available in the museum. But, remember, photos are prohibited inside the museum. In Japan, they want you to enjoy the experience to the max, instead of clicking away your camera.

Ahh..the best part is, you’ll get tickets, with different character created by the Master to enjoy a mini movie in the theatre. Isn’t it exciting?

Our tickets.
Pretty cool, huh?

The door of one of the lavatory's cubical.

You can even spot the other characters around.

Mushi..mushi???
The telephone booth for you to pose.
It is near the entrance of the theatre.
Besides, there are huge Doraemon gashapon
machines there too.

After admiring the exhibition, it was nom-ing time.
Since we went there on a weekend, prior to the Obon holiday (according to my buddy), there was a crowd in the restaurant. We took our number and waited for roughly 40 minutes to get a table.

Doraemon Jumbo grilled BBQ Combo
(with rice, you can choose bread as well) @ 1500 Yen

This is marvelous.
The sausage is tasty and the best part is
the serving is big! =O
Worth the money spent. ^^

Vegetable Loco Moco @ 1200 Yen
A dish with lots of vegetables (lettuce mostly)
The patty is good.
But, the serving is big
and kinda challenging for me to finish up the whole thing.

 See the coaster?
It is printed with Doraemon's comic XD

Gian’s pork cutlet bowl with miso soup
(ala carte for 1000 Yen, for the set meal, it is 1500 Yen)

We ordered a set meal for this:
a drink (orange juice) and a mini salad.
The serving is pretty big and it is enough for two person.

Koikesan’s Ramen @ 900 Yen

It comes with an inari sushi!
The blue plate which was used to serve
the sushi is a Doraemon plate, with its big adorable face.

Negaiboshi Rice Omelette @1200 Yen
This is good. I love the gravy and the rice.
A must try, in my opinion.

I miss the rice, to be honest.

Caffe Latte @ 550 Yen

Our Latte!
The art is beautiful.
We felt too bad when we had to destroy it.
You can order the Sugar Free,
Chocolate, Vanilla, Caramel or Hazelnut latte.

The dining area.
Simple wooden furniture, nothing fancy though.

Now, time to go to the museum compound.
There are a few adorable statues or exhibits
at the museum ground and you shouldn’t miss them!

I do not know which comic are they from.
Can someone fill me in?

A 'stone' Doraemon.

Besides the famous Doraemon, we have Pisuke and friends!

The well known Dokodemo door (or Anywhere Door).
Epic, desu~~

Can I go back to the past?

The bus. XD
Pretty cool~

We took the bus to the train station.

No more walking.

You can see adorable bell and handle with

the Master’s anime character.

It was an amazing experience and this museum is a must if you were a fan of Fujiko F Fujio Sama.
The food is good and it was a splendid day in summer.
