Last week, I went to an art exhibition of a Lithuanian
artist, Ernest Zacharevic (who is famous here due to his murals), in Penang and I am amazed by the brilliant
idea of transforming an old deserted Hin Company’s bus depot into an art
gallery. It is a genius idea to make use of abandoned buildings.
Basically, you can
see his paintings and murals there.
I am impressed by the ‘upcycle’ of unwanted
materials for the exhibition as he managed to utilised unwanted things for art. For examples, rubbish bags, unwanted old cupboard, toy guns and materials can be used to transformed into impressive work. Really, they are unique, yet beautiful.

It is exactly
opposite Grand Continental Hotel of Penang
'Art is rubbish is art'
That is the theme of the exhibition.
The brightly lit pink
sign which welcomed the visitors.
A glimpse of the exhibition
hall.
Different types of
artwork, ranging from painting,
to abstract artwork.
The old floor tiles and the interior of the building.
I can't visualised the heyday of this place.
My grandma used to work there many many
years ago.
Another section
outside the building where
fans are installed to
cool you down.
Plus you can admire the awesome murals.
There are artwork from others as well,
I am not very sure bout that though.
Art in the city.
You can see Komtar at
the back.
Nostalgic building vs the modern
skyscraper, perhaps. ^^
Bringing the erased art from JB to life!
I really love this lego man and woman.
Spoiler alert!

interested to check out this exhibition must be fast as it will only be

It is an interesting feature
of George Town and I am happy that there are beautiful art nestled among the
hustle and bustle of the city.
