The Bizarre Dotonbori (Namba) @ Osaka, Japan

Dotonbori is a happening place full of visitors, good food and interesting building (or billboard).

The decorations of the buildings are over-the-top and they will definitely blow you away!

During my trip, I managed to capture a few buildings and I am glad that I went there, albeit the hot weather. (^o^)

The huge Dragon of Kinryu Ramen.

I heard that the ramen is good.
Too bad we had Korean Food earlier. sigh~
Well, we missed the spicy Malaysian food
after 6 days in Japan and thus, we needed
some heavy flavoured food, now!

Kuidaore Taro, the famous drum
playing clown of Dotonbori.

(from left) The black hanging cow, Kukuru's enormous red octopus,
and the grey puffer fish.

You can hear 'Takoyaki' song blasting from the speaker
before you even reached the red octopus. O.O

Fancy for some exquisite food?

The famous Kani Doraku's Crab!

They have 2 there if not mistaken.
The one at the edge of shop houses is bigger!

It is famous, lots of people and according to my buddy,
the meal will burn a hole in your pocket, for the
budget traveller.

We had the grilled crab leg (700 Yen for one leg)
It was juicy and delicious.

Too bad I couldn't eat the shell as well. haha

The Penguin, Donpen, which is the mascot of Don Quijote (Donki),
which is a popular Japanese discount chain store,
together with one of the Lucky Gods, Ebisu.

It is beside the Dotonbori Canal and you can opt
to ride the Ferris Wheel if you feel like it.

We bought some Kit-kat and snacks from the store.
Seem that they are cheaper. (^__^)

 Daruma Kushikatsu

Kushikatsu is deep fried vegetables, seafood and meat
in skewer and it is absolutely delicious.

Not to mention that it is irresistible!

I am craving for it now. T.T

Gyoza Shop which I didn't have the chance to indulge.

Glico Man!
I wanted to see this since I was a kid!
(Super Excited!)

Ahem...this is because I am a big Pocky fan!
(Pocky is a thin crunchy biscuit coated in frosting,
usually chocolate or strawberry)

The neon light will be lit at night.
I had to miss it due to the tight schedule and we
couldn't afford to get back to the same place twice.

Just opposite the Glico Man, you will see
Shinsaibashisuji shopping street (心斎橋)
after crossing the Ebisu-bashi Bridge. (^,^)

Unleash the shopaholic!!! lolz

Hozenji-Temple hidden within the heart of
Osaka where you can see a Fudo statue
covered with moss.

Hozenji Yokocho (alley) is the remnant of ancient
Osaka. The temple is like a gem hidden within the
urban concrete jungle. (*o*)
