Tin Hau (Accomodation and Food) @ Hong Kong

During my visit to Hong Kong, I started and ended my day, searching for food in Tin Hau as it was more convenient since I was staying there. I booked a room in Butterfly on Victoria and the MTR station is just around the corner.

Tin Hau! Written in Chinese.
I see this everyday as I had to catch the MTR
to favours destination.

Small space but cosy.

I love the room and the front desk did provide
excellent service by getting me a cab before
by departure to the airport.

Complimentary chocolate!
Ferrero Rocher! Just kill me. Rofl

Free Wi-Fi which is stable and I was able to
make a few calls using FB chat.
Gonna stay there again. XD

I walked passed Violet Bakery a few times and there are always people queueing in front of the shop. Haven't thought of trying the buns and tarts until the last day of my stay. I regretted my decision because I love the buns. I even bought them for breakfast before heading to the airport.

Bought a few buns from the bakery.
They are soft and delicious.
Freshly baked from the oven, of course.

Sweet, smooth and firm custard with
crunchy shortcrust pastry.

The tarts are freshly made. Awesome!

Roasted duck rice with sausages from
Kwan Yu Roasted Meat.
It would be absolutely great if they gave me
more gravy to go with the rice.

There are a few shops selling roasted meat dishes
around the corner. I will try them during
my next visit. XD

I read online and got to know that Hot Star Chicken is one
of the well-known fried chicken chain store from Taiwan.

I tried it since I saw students queueing up in front of the
tiny shop, waiting patiently for their turn to get their
hands on the fried chicken.

I had crispy salted chicken, as in 咸酥鸡 in Chinese.

Crispy and tasty, with a fragrant aroma.
Should have ordered their signature large fried chicken.

When I reached Tin Hau, I headed to Tak Cheong for some food. I read online, as well as from my guidebook that this place is well know for their fish ball noodles. Decided to give it a try.

The signs outside the shop.
The menu is available outside as well.

My fish balls rice noodles (with fish cake).
Can't remember the price but it costs, but
I do not fancy the taste.

Perhaps I should add the condiments, as in pepper
or chili to my noodles.
The soup is milkier and the flavour is not as rich
as the ones I have back home.
The fish ball is fine, still, the flavours and texture
depends of different diners.
Perhaps it is good for the others.

My milk tea in Hong Kong.
It is bitter and thicker than the milk tea
available here.
Not sweet, I kinda like the bitter after taste.
