If you are a big fan of deer and ancient architecture which which is a part of Unesco's heritage, Nara would be a great place for you to visit. XD
We took a train from Namba (Osaka) via the Kintetsu Railway to reach there. You will reach Higashimuki Shopping Street Arcade easily by taking one of the exit of Nara's Kintetsu Train Station.

Not sure if this is Sarusawa-ike pond. XD
This pond is located beside the road which can be seen
on the way to Kofuku-ji from the shopping arcade.
Lovely scenery of the summer's day.
The tower of Kofuku-ji
We didn't manage to see much since the place
was under renovation during our visit.
Perhaps it is time for me to visit Nara soon. ^^
Sleepy deer resting around the grounds of
Kofuku-ji temple.
The summer's heat was unbearable actually.
To know more, you can visit this link:
Nara park which is full of deer.
I saw a deer chased a man when I was there.
They were pretty scary and you should keep your maps
and papers safe because one of them tried to snatch my map
which was placed in between my guidebook when I
was not paying attention. Phew!
Nara National Museum is in the park.
Here's a map for you to have an idea of the place:
Deer crackers (shika senbei) which are available around Nara.
You will attract the deer pretty easily.
The majestic Nan-dai mon with huge Nio guardians
guarding the gate which you will see when
you are entering the gate.
Todaiji Temple ( 東大寺)
which looks magestic under the hot sun.
You can see buddha statues and miniature of
the temple in olden days. They rebuilt the structure
as it was destroyed by fire twice in the past, according
to what I read online.
Daibutsu (the Great Buddha) in Daibutsu-den
hall. You need to pay to enter the hall.
You can refer to the link below for reference:
Before reaching Kasuga Taisha, you will pass a tea house
known as Kasuga Ninai Chaya (春日荷茶屋).
The place is pretty, with huge red umbrellas.
They serve traditional japanese congee, but we
didn't gave it a try.
The small shrines and stoned structures along the
path towards Kasuga Taisha (春日大社).
We didn't go there unfortunately.
We were extremely worn out after walking for the
entire day.
Manhole cover of Nara
You can see the signature deer and cherry blossom.
Nara is a good place to discover and lots of happening events are organised in the summer. We didn't manage to go to all the places during our trip. Well, I will visit Nara again and by looking at the photos, it really makes me miss the dear. Perhaps, distance makes the heart goes fonder. XD
